5 ways to show yourself love
I am very lucky as I have wonderful love in my life. Love from my partner, my family and all of my friends. It was not always this way and I use to ask my Angels all the time “When am I going to find love?” Their magical reply was “Learn to love yourself first and your true love will come”
When I was growing up, to like yourself let alone love yourself was considered vanity. Sadly, and I feel like it might be the same today there is always someone out there in our world ready to help knock us down a peg or two. Australia is famous for its Tall Poppy Syndrome. We love it when people do well but do not forget your place.
I say bah humbug to that nonsense. This year you need to find your self-love. It is the only way to keep your vibrations high and discover all the love for your life that you deserve. So I thought to offer a few hints and tips to get you started off in the right direction. Have fun, laugh and see how beautiful and lovely you are.
Meditate
Yes, I know I do harp on with this a bit, but have you tried it? You do not have to still your mind for 30+ minutes a day unless you want to. Try a quick 5-to-10-minute meditation while walking to work, sitting on the bus, even on the loo. You will find yourself in such a better place. It will reduce the stress in your life, you will find a sense of peace and connection and have a clear understanding or clarity within your life.
Stay “Unplugged” for a short while
I have put this one in as I struggle with this one, I love my iPad and iPhone and use them constantly. When we do put the devices away we will get a better night’s sleep. You will be more creative. You will talk more to people and improve your relationships. You will start to be more observant and reflect more on what is around you and yes take care of yourself more!
Mindful Walking and Getting out into Nature
You can do these two together. Look at you being creative, must have turned off that phone! Mindful walking is great. It has been proven to help when you are suffering from stress, and in this climate who doesn’t have a bit of stress. So, what is mindful walking? When you take the time to walk and see, feel, experience everything around you.
I added both of these into one heading as I think it would be awesome if you did get out into nature and allow your mind to turn off, but just getting out of the space you are in is wonderful. Out of the house. Out of the office. Try to get out in beautiful nature, but really nature is all around us, we just have to seek and find the beauty. Walk down the footpath, cut across the park, maybe even planned a bushwalk! As you walk (physical exercise) you will start to breathe in deeply and enjoy your change of surroundings. You might even start to clear your mind and maybe come up with an answer for something that is a concern. Perfect.
Read
I would like to say read a book, but many of you do like to read on your device, so I will let that go. When we read for fun, or for knowledge we are giving our minds some much needed time out. When we choose to read inspiring material you will find that you will find a shift within you. Once that makes you feel positive and maybe even happy.
I choose what I feel as easy steps in being nice and loving yourself. Why not give it a try and let me know how it is going. I always love feedback or if you have found something else that works. If you think you need more guidance from your angels why not book a Love Reading or join a workshop. It will be the best thing you can do for yourself.
