Trust your Intuition

I love listening to my gut instinct or intuition. I do it every day.

This is our very basic connection with our angels and universal energy or connection. When we relax and listen to this wonderful tool to keep our lives moving on track we will find our anxiety and stress will go down or decrease.

Ever heard of Oprah Winfrey, one of quotes that I love is “Follow your instincts. That is where true wisdom manifests itself”

I believe this to be true 100%. “Why?” I hear you ask. Great question. To tune in and follow your own instinct, your own ideas is so powerful and can help you out of trouble, danger and live a better more happy, safe, and joyful life.

To use this tool you do need to learn or release something. Negativity thoughts. Some people may call this doubt. Now you can find many courses, workshops and have lots of people telling you different ways to do this. My advice is simply. Follow what works for you.

I will share what works for me, and happy for you to try it. I do 3 deep cleansing breaths. Sometimes I even squat. I find that this makes my body move into a deep more relaxed state. You no longer do shallow breaths, as when you feel your shoulders rise up and down, but you can feel and see your belly moving in and out with deep cleansing breaths

What you are really doing is taking a step back from the Brain. The money chatter inside our head. Our brain is always looking out for us, trying to protect our human body, but in some ways it can hold us back. We have all heard of “flight or fight” this is what our brain can do to us. It has been with us for a long time. It is the instinctive response to a threatening situation. It will allow you to chose to resist forcibly to fight or to simply run away – flight

Don’t get me wrong we need this to occur in our mind, to protect us, but it can also hold us back. In a way our Brain is using intuition to keep us safe. It looks at the situation logically and works out what is the best response.

  • Remember our left brain is logical

  • Right brain is creative

  • Both sides of our brain are both logical and creative. When both sides of our brains work together, when everything meshes well we will always feel safe

Vagus Nerve and Gut Instinct are Connected

Our intuition makes us feel safe, and then thoughts or feelings may come through and make us feel unsafe. So this is where our amazing physical and brain set in to help us with our intuition. The vagus nerve constantly sends sensory information about the state of our body’s organs to the brain. So the nerve is sending emotional sensory information to our brain, via the vagus nerve. It is coming straight from our stomach (our gut) to our brain to let us know if we are safe.

So to make sure that our whole mind, body, and soul is working well together, always give the situation or problem a little room so you can relax before making a choice. You may find that if you go to bed with a problem, your mind will relax while sleeping and you find the answer. This is because you have given your mind and body a nap of at least 90 minutes. Long enough to go through a rem cycle in which you have cleared and cleaned your brain and place it in a relaxing state of mind.

It will take practice. I see it everyday with my students, they are so keen, they want everything now. But you must learn how to relax. This is a skill. When we are able to learn the skill or relaxation you will start to feel and sense your gut intuition working quickly for you. You may see that when you are stressed or anxious your intuition isn’t as accurate as you would like.

Hints and Tips

There is a lot of talk these days about the vagus nerve, but it has been with us all of our lives. I love when spirituality mixes with scientific research. They are finding out things that we have know is right all along, but now we have long winded names to attach to it.

We have always known and followed our gut instinct. If you don’t your life or that choice is normally not to your highest good. So now that they have seen and learnt that we have these nerves sending our brain emotions and sensory information to keep us safe it all makes sense.

It also makes sense that if we damage our vagus nerve, through fear it cannot work as well, and we can start to make poor choices. All the studies have shown that this never sends messages up to the brain and the brain relays them to the body where it is required. When they stop being sent down to our body in a effective way we can suffer.

You know your nerve is working when you are sent feelings of anxiousness, being scared, or just feeling sick in your stomach. Please react on these as these are how your brain and gut instinct is telling you to be fearful.

However if you are constantly in a state of fear or anxiety this is when you may need to look at if your vagus nerve is not in good working order. They should be sending to your body and organs a sense of peace and relaxation to remove the feelings of anxiety when away from the person, situation or whatever is making you feel unsafe. This is when you need to ask for help. Find a good therapist, and what makes you feel safe and happy.

When all is working well in your psychical body you will find that the mind, body and soul will all align and help you complete your life purpose. When in good working order your blood pressure will remain calm and your heart beat stable.

Try using these hints and tips when asking help from your intuition or gut instinct.

  • Deep cleansing breaths as this will calm you and your vagus nerve as well as your nervous system

  • When asking questions about the subject always use open ended questions with who, why, how, when, why, where.. This line of questions will help rewire your brain to help you connect in with your intuition your gut instinct a lot quicker and you will feel safe and loved.

  • When you are feeling anxious simply reach out and touch a person you love and trust. Holding a hand of a partner or loved one, receiving a hug is so very important to your soul your body and mind

  • Use positive self-talk.

So please have some fun and change your lift from the negative into the positive. Become at one with self and be able to be silent enough to actually listen to what you are being guided to hear and follow to make your journey a bit easier while feeling loved and protected.
