What is the difference between a psychic and a medium?

I get asked this question quite a bit. I would love to share with you the answers or definitions I have received from my Angels and teachers in my lifetime.

As you know, we are all connected and all of us can connect in and receive messages from God and our loved ones. Just as we are all unique in our human form, so too are our talents to connect in. I refer to myself as both psychic and a medium. I say this, as I can have a chat with your loved ones when they are in the spirit world as well as your Angels.

I do this by trusting and believing in the messages I receive. I have been working with my team of Angels to help me fine-tune the way I receive my messages. You can never give up working on yourself and discovering more about what is on the other side of the veil, as it is so exciting.

I firmly believe that everyone is a psychic as well as a medium, but they need to do a bit of training and self-love to allow the connection to reconnect to receive the messages. You can fine-tune what form of link is required for the perfect reading for the sitter. 

Are all psychic readers Mediums?

Please understand that a person claiming to be a psychic reader may not be a medium. I believe that this just means they may not be trained to allow the messages to come from spirit, but a medium is always a psychic. Have I confused you yet? Sorry. I will try to make it a bit easier.

Psychics tune into energy. It can be your energy or the energy of objects. They pick up on the feelings or have a sense of what the energy will hold regarding the past, present or future.

A psychic will rely on their own intuition to read for people. They do this with a soul-to-soul connection and tapping into your energy.

A medium will use their psychic and intuitive skills to see all the events in the past, present or future by tuning into the spirit energy they are reading for. So, a medium will need to ask for assistance by a presence or spirit energy for the information about the sitter.

Even though you may be shown something in the future, please make sure the sitter is aware of our wonderful gift of free will, that allows us to change our future at any time. Nothing is set in stone and no reader should use this information as a form of power. All readings should be done to help move the sitter into a higher vibration – a better place.

If you are getting a psychic reading, please be aware that as the reader is tuning into your own power (also known as aura, chakras), and that this information should only be used as a guideline. Helping you to move forward and keep you on track. I always view this type of reading as a yearly check-up at the doctor or dentist to make sure everything is in good working order.

Tools psychic readers use to give you a reading

When you receive a psychic reading, your reader will be working with colour. They may see the colours around you in your aura, or sense or feel the colour. A good psychic will have gone through training to understand what these colours, feelings and sensations mean for your mind, body as well as soul, to be able to give you a reading.

You will be surprised at how much information colour can give you. For this, your psychic reader will be great at visualisation. To do this type of reading you must be able to ‘feel’ or ‘see’ the colour. Anyone can be taught this. Once again, I believe that it is a skill, we are all born with, but we need to reconnect and learn how to use it. We came into this world with it deep within our souls. You just need to enhance your skills and practice to get better and better at connecting with people’s energy.

Many people then ask me what the colour looks like? How can they connect soul to soul?

One of the most amazing things that my Angels have shown me was when I was taken up to visit home. Some call this place heaven; I like to call it home. I was shown what our souls look like at home. We do not have a human form. No one looks more desirable than anyone else we are just colour. It is hard to describe, but we are like blobs or globs of colour. I like to tell people to visualise within your mind a cloud. Now if you have ever passed through a cloud, you know that it looks like it is quite solid but is just like mist, very transparent and moving all the time. Now see within your mind this cloud and add the colours of all the charkas or just the rainbow colours.

This is how I see a soul. Energy with colour. It is quite beautiful, and I love it when I see this in our skies. I know that someone has just been visited by another soul and is sending them or all of us a message of love and peace.

We have 12 chakras that we should learn to see, feel, and read from to do a psychic reading. Our energy points are a great place to start with your education of learning how to connect in and read energy.

When I do a reading for a sitter I always ask if they wish to know about their future or try to connect with spirit. If they wish to learn more about the present, or the future this is when I tune into receiving messages from their own personal energy (aura and chakras), as well as from their guardian angels. I have been taught that our angels hold our book of life and understand what it is that they desired to experience and must happen during their life here on earth.

When the psychic reading takes place, the psychic reader will connect into the sitter’s power or energy. You can then understand what is going on in their lives about any questions they have about love, health, career, or money. These are the four most asked questions within a reading. By connecting soul to soul, you can ‘see’ or ‘read’ the colours, the energy of the sitter.

Some people will only request a mediumship reading. When this is asked, I explain my energy to allow myself to be absorbed or to allow in spirit, into my energy field so that I can receive messages.

In a way, I see myself as an antenna that picks up on signals or messages as a tv antenna can pick up on the tv signal so that you can watch your favourite show. I do this by expanding my own energy field and inviting angels and/or spirits to help me with the reading.

Clair senses

I feel very blessed as I do pick up messages in different ways. Sometimes I can clearly see, sense, or hear your loved ones. They can also give me messages in other ways. Through the sense of smell or taste. They may even use my memories to help pass on messages. I will also pass on everything that I receive, as I have learnt these messages are not for me. They are not for me to try and make sense of the message. I cannot add anything – just pass on everything that is told or shown to me.

I have learnt this the hard way. When I make judgements on the messages, I may fail to pass on a vital piece of information that the sitter needs to hear to understand or know that their love is with them.

I love doing any type of readings, especially when a loved one does come through as they are very healing. As a medium, I take my role very seriously. I am not here to cause pain or anxiety. I am here to help you heal yourself and move forward into your highest of vibration.

I love it when the sitter also talks and gives confirmation in the readings. It is very boring when you do not connect on a human level when you are connecting on a soul-to-soul level and are welcomed in by their loved ones. They love to hear your voice as well. Your loved ones love the high vibration and energy of your laughter. They understand that tears are also a healthy release. So please don’t be that sitter that thinks you can not say a word as you are ‘giving away information’. You will come to understand and know who the best reader for you is.

You will discover that you will feel comfortable and at ease. It also makes the reading so much more fun, uplifting the energy in the room and allowing the veil to lift and allow loved ones and angels in with messages quicker and with such beautiful energy you will just feel overwhelmed with love and happiness at the end of the reading

When should you have a reading?

Have a reading once or twice a year, in fact, any time you wish to include them in your life is brilliant. Your loved ones are always aware of your special days. Birthdays, weddings, Christmas, and anniversaries. They are there and watching. They are with you and love to pop in and share with you their thoughts or messages of guidance for you.

I love it when sitter books a reading to see where they are heading on their own spiritual journey. This requires a psychic and mediumship reading. To be able to check in and see if they are travelling along the right path for their life purpose within their past, present, and future.

When these questions are given, I find that I am tunning into the sitter’s own energy, soul to soul connection as well as their angels and loved ones. I find that they are more than happy to show where their blocks may be and how they can reach their full potential. I have found that most of the sitters loved it when these are given in an email reading as they then have the words and suggestions on paper to refer to. 

Best job in the world

I love my job. It is the best job in the world in my eyes. I get to help so many people heal when dealing with the loss of a loved one. It might be a partner, parent, sibling, or pet. All these feelings are real and need to be acknowledged. I think having a reading or healing with messages when you are ready, and by a reader that you trust and feel drawn to, is a great way to help the healing process.

I believe in God, Jesus, Mother Mary, Ascended Masters and archangels, guardian angels and spirit. I have seen and spoken to many of these amazing higher powers within my short life, so yes, I am a true believer. I feel I work with God’s blessing. I feel very blessed to be able to provide evidence that there is life beyond what we know. There is so much more, and I am excited that each day I get to experience more and more love and beauty. Love and beauty within myself, my own life and in the world around me.

I love being a psychic medium. A communicator between the two worlds. Remember I am not special as we can all do this. You just need the tools to reconnect to enhance your own life and that of others around you to their highest benefit.
