How to Declutter and Invite Abundance into your life
A life filled with Magic
Are you looking forward to your life filled with magic! You can have it. You only have to learn how you can create. You will be setting some big intentions this year.
Some people call these New year resolutions, but I like to fill my world with magic all year round, not just for the next month or two, so we are going to think bigger.
You will be able to fill your 2021 with everything you desire. You will be able to create a wonderful loved filled abundant world.
So, what is holding you back?

I am sure that we all enjoyed the magic of the Bethlehem or Christmas Star that we were so lucky to view in December 2020. I know that some of us didn’t get to see the amazing shine as other parts of the world did – but here in South East Queensland (Australia), I was just so happy that our clouds parted briefly on that evening to see it with our naked eyes. I felt the energy and the magic rush through my body and started to request all that I want to create in my life for 2021.
If you didn’t feel the same way as me, that is ok. You may have some resistance, or the energy might not have felt the same to you as it did to me. Again, this is fine. I am incredibly lucky to be so connect to source, or what some call the Universe, and my angels that energy can affect me a bit differently.
I am here to assure you that you can also find your own connection.
Use the Law of Attraction
You can create abundance in your life. You can understand and use the Law of Attraction to bring anything or anyone into your world and in a timeframe that you wish. It might sound like it is too hard or too much work, but it might also be easier than you think.
You are probably surrounded by others that use the Law of Attraction each and every day. That one at work that keeps getting the promotions. The neighbour that goes on an amazing holiday every single year. The person that always seems to have small wins on the lotto. We all know them. They are no different to you. They probably have a better understanding of the Law of Attraction than you do, but we are here to change all of that.
Blockage and Resistance
So if you are trying to manifest all that you want in your life, and it hasn’t occurred yet, it might mean that there is a blockage or something that is in the way of receiving the abundance you are creating.
It might be a barrier of energy that is stopping the flow or your connection with the Universe. These barriers or energetic blockers could be from you or your surroundings.
Do you suffer from:
Negative Thoughts
Limited beliefs in yourself
A painful past
Do you judge yourself too harshly? Maybe you believe you are not worthy of all the things you desire?
“Wait, hold on” I hear you say! I thought this was going to be a fluffy piece on how I am going to create my new role at work or find the partner of my dreams.
Well sadly to create the connection and to draw in the art of manifesting, you first must do some work. You can look at it as a fun task that is going to help you achieve more than you ever thought of, or you can say “too hard” and stop reading right now.
You need to slow down and look at this as a step-by-step task. It is not something that you can create in a day. Once you become overwhelmed or expect too much too fast you are putting up more energetic blockers for manifesting. Sadly, the more you look at it and shake your head saying “Too hard” you are making the energetic blocks bigger and bigger.
All the Universe is hearing from your own personal vibration is “Too Hard” or “Can’t Do It”
You have cluttered your brain with “Can’t do it “negative energy and the Universe will respond.
Recognise the blockages
Ok, let’s break this down step by step and set you up for a great year.
Take the huge first step – Let’s start to declutter by recognising the clutter
Let’s start to declutter your physical environment as well as learning how to declutter our mind of negative thoughts and actions towards ourselves. It is time to get those creative manifesting energies and vibrations hitting high levels so the Universe can not get the messages wrong!
Once we do the work and declutter the physical and our spiritual environments, you watch the magic happen!
If you desire it, you could change any one of the following
Bring in the flow of money. Now remember this means all different things to different people. Some only want enough to pay the bills and go on a local holiday next year.
Others might want enough to purchase that $100K SUV. Others might want millions to donate to charity. We are not here to judge each other, just to help us all create what it is that we manifest into our lives.
Make your relationships healthy and loving. Again, this might mean you wish to meet your perfect partner. You might want a better relationship with your siblings. You might want to have a better relationship with work colleagues.
To be vibrantly healthy and whole - for me this is a constant manifestation in my life for myself and my family – including the four-legged family members!
All of these seem like reasonable manifestations or requests from the Universe you might say. So why are they not happening? (I can hear you screaming out loud as you pull your hair out).
It might be something simple such as your environment. It might be such as energy blocker or you may be overwhelmed. If this is the case and you are not feeling that great about what you are creating or manifesting just think how badly that message is getting through to the Universe!
You might even know what the blocker is in your own subconscious mind and just don’t want to deal with it. It may be too hard, or too personal.
Sadly, we grow up creating a lot of these blockers from our past experiences and even our loved ones. For example, our well meaning family member’s concerns around money leave us with thoughts like:
“We don’t have the money for that!”
“Money doesn’t grow on trees”
“Dream on”
“Save for a rainy day”
These become blockers about the abundance of money and are acting on fear.
I know that I have had to change the way I think about money and work hard to do it. I find myself still slipping back into my old ways and must pull myself up and start my manifestation all over again as I have just put the big STOP sign out to the universe!
So, it is us to us to take a hard look at our environment and how it affects our energy and our vibrations that we send out to the Universe.
Ok, let’s make this fun. Yes, I am putting a new spin on “Cleaning”, but it is really important. All that clutter in your home. The stuff that has sat around and you have not used it for anything for the last couple of years may be stopping you and your energy from creating!
So, many of us know or are a hoarder. Remember no judgement here. The first part of this process is to look at the situation and see the truth. I am a hoarder. I will always be a hoarder and find it hard to let things go. It is when I look at the items I have around me and see the damage that I must realise I have to be brave and let it go.
We have been brought up to think we should save this for a rainy day when we are not doing so well. Wow how many negative blockers were in that sentence alone! I understand many of our elders or parents grew up in War or in times where unemployment was high. I understand why they never throw anything out. My father still has my calculator from grade 4 in his study and I am now in my 50’s!
I can also understand this way of thinking may even be scaring a few of you. It does to me each time I do this exercise. We have just been though a pandemic, something I never thought I would say or write, and we have learnt to hold on to things as we might just need them one day. We have all had ups and downs in this time financially and it was scary. No shame in admitting that at all.
To make next year a better one for you I am urging you to just take a look around where you are right now. Is your home or office surrounded by clutter? Well sadly if it doesn’t make you happy. If you haven’t used it in a coupe of years. If it is broken and you can’t use it how is that helping your energy to flow and create?
It is more than likely sabotaging all your efforts. The ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui were on to something when it came to freeing up the energy to flow throughout their homes. To attract the positive and to invite the positive in and the negative out.
Let’s say you are wanting to attract the perfect romantic partner into your life just check and see how much of the previous relationships, you have within your home. Many of the people I work with want to create or manifest their one true love but while they are doing it, they are sitting on the couch that came to them when they broke up from their previous relationship.
So many times, I am even told it is a couch that they don’t even like and the partner picked it and they demanded it have it when they split up as they knew it would hurt the other person or it was a costly item! This would be a major energy or vibrational blocker for manifesting a new partner into your life. Even you can see how something this big could be causing you some issues in creating.
You may have been living with your new partner, but sadly you feel like there is something missing in the connection. Look around you. Do you still have items in your home from your previous partner or do they? All of things are made of energy. All our creations are made from our energy and these items can block your energy that you use to create or manifest.
Another thing to look at – sorry never said this is easy, but it may be a physical thing. The way a loved one – from a previous relationship or family member has made you feel about yourself. Any judgements from others that we take on or believe about ourselves may be not in our best interest. In a perfect world their words and affection towards us should show us love and hold no judgements towards us, but do they really? These toxic thoughts or words are the hardest to shift. Toxic people in our lives can cause us a lot of heart ache and prevent us from manifesting simply because they have put their thoughts into our minds. Sadly, we are allowing this blocking in ourselves from moving forward and creating.
All of these things above can prevent you from creating. From moving forward into a more positive and enlightened energy. To find that wonderful relationship with your family member or your one true love.
When you look around your environment – home or office take a good look. Each action has sent a message to the universe. Telling them what we think of ourselves and how we expect to be treated.
You may always be behind in your bills as you just don’t seem to be able to save for your bills. You do how ever have that latest gadget that you purchase online that you have never used. This action is telling the Universe. Hold off on that lotto win I can handle my money and will just spend it on silly stuff. What message are you sending the Universe about wealth and your thoughts on Money? We really need to look and think about things we bring into our lives before we just react to make us feel better for the moment.
Are you hiding your ability to create accept and spend your wealth wisely behind clutter and useless gadgets that you will never use?
Are you sending negative messages out to the Universe and immediately putting up your energy blockers in creating any more wealth in your life?
It might not be physical cash you are stopping with your blocker, but that amazing idea. Your new line at work. A book that is dying to be written. Are you blocking anything that would bring in more wealth into your life? When you put it this way it makes you really look around at your physical environment to release anything that may be blocking you from your future happiness.
All this clutter is just screaming out the universe.
“Cancel the order of abundance or wealth or creation of wealth. I am not worthy or ready for such a commitment”
“I do not see myself as worthy of Abundance”
Just like the Genie in the bottle the Universe listens to your command or wish and says, “Your wish is my command” and bam. Your creation or manifestation will stop. Do we register this in our own minds? No, we say “What a lot of rubbish – see I didn’t get anything that I wanted!”
Do you realise what you just did again? You put up a major blocker. You just blocked any further creations or manifestation of abundance with that negative comment! I bet you didn’t even realise you did that one did you?
Step One: Clear out the Physical Clutter
With those easy steps as well as declutter your actual physical environment you are well on the way to creating and manifesting in the year 2021.
Let’s look at your environment : Your Home and Office
Make this a daily task. Start in one room and only short burst of time. Say 5 minutes a day.
Give 1 item away each day. If you did this either to a charity shop or a friend or family member that has shown an interest in something you have no desire to keep you would have 365 items gone from your home each year. I bet you won’t even miss it!
Go through the wardrobe. A neat trick is to turn all your clothes hangers in the other direction. This easy trick will show you what your favourite clothes are and the ones you never wear. You guessed it – give away those clothes away.
Checklist. I love checklists they keep me on track. All the items on the checklist are items that you will not miss and are easy to remove from your home. If you would like a copy of the checklist, simply leave your email here and I will send you a PDF copy.
Look at your home through a visitor eyes I like to take a few photos in the rooms when I am finding it hard to let go. I start to see it through a visitor or a friends eyes when they come to visit. I did this when I was selling my previous home and it was a real eye opener! I saw so much clutter and build up of items that I just took for granted. Once I saw it this way I went to work and most of the items were either binned, given away or donated. They ended up on that shelf and just never moved on!
Some people suggest getting help from a friend. Well, if you are brave please do so, I however am not that brave as I just don’t want people to see all the rubbish I hoarded! I also don’t really like the trash bag idea where you get a trash bag and fill it as fast as you can. As I live with my family, I learnt the hard way that it might not be important to me, but that assignment of my daughters wasn’t just trash and my husbands old football jersey was not really mine to donate to charity.
I now like to use the 4 box method where I put the items into 4 boxes, Trash, Give Away, Keep or Re Locate and get everyone input on them before I move ahead. I also learnt to give all the family members a time frame to look over the boxes.
Once you have worked through each room of your home and your office or work environment you will be amazing at how much the energy has changed. Items you have forgotten and mean a lot will be discovered and new items that bring you joy will surround you.
You are now in a better place to create and manifest all that you want and need in your life.
Step Two: Smoke Cleansing
Smudging your home is an especially important step as you are clearing out all the negative energy and inviting new fresh clean energy into your home to help lift your vibration as well as others that live with you.
Make sure that when you smudge you have all your windows and doors open. We what the negative energy to leave and afterwards light the Palo Santo to invite the Good energies in.

Step Three: Manifest
It all sounds like it is a lot of work, but Manifesting is fun! You get to connect with the Universe and request what it is that you really want in your life.
You do have to do a bit of work, by working out what it is that you truly desire. Most people say Money – but I then say break it down. Why do you need the money? To pay off the mortgage. To be able to leave your current job and create a new business out of something you love? To get rid of the bills and start again? Many reasons why people what money you just need to work out what it is for and then make your manifestation on that reason, not just for money.
Why you say Money would fix that. Well, if you really want to learn how to create and manifest you must first understand the why and then the how. You would have been creating all your life. Some things not what you wanted, but others yes.
