Loving YOU!

How many of you are feeling the changes and shifts in the energy around you? You might put it down to being tired or working too hard. You might be feeling like you are always trying to catch up and have no time for yourself. Would it surprise you if I told you that you are not alone? Limeade, a customised program for the well being of employees has leant through their employee surveys

Burnout statistics that women are more likely to suffer from burnout than men at a rate of 32% to 28%. Half of the women in leadership roles or report that they feel burnt out consistently

This is not good news! We are so use to multi-tasking, taking care of everyone else but us that we have taught ourselves that we don’t matter. We come last. I can tell you right now, that this is not how we should be thinking or operating in this world to reach that highest frequency to attract in all that we want and desire in our lifetime.

We have had so much piled onto our plate, the stress, anxiety, constant pressure of living. The worry of loved ones, money, security within our worlds seemed to have doubled over night since the pandemic. So if you are finding that you are snapping at more people, not enjoying doing fun things you use to love doing – like reading, walking, or spending time with yourself with no guilt you may need to look at how much you are doing for others and how little you are doing for you!

So how can we change this.  How can we find the time to love and care for ourselves the way we care for others.  Can I make 4 suggestions to help you set up a wonderful foundation towards self-care.  I really want to call this self-love for us.

Four Easy Steps for Self-Care

Step One – Set a bed time and stick to it. You need a minimum of 7 hours sleep (this means eyes shut not reading and watching Netflix in bed)

Step Two – Eat better. Try to list at least one piece of fruit a day and start with just making sure you get 4 serves of veggies throughout the day. This can be done with a smoothie, with chucking some spinach on top of that pizza you just created or hiding in some other tasty treats. You know you will feel better for it. I am the queen at hiding my vitamins since I found Mavella. Made for kids but works for me just as much! Check it out in Coles and Woolworths! They have a great kombucha too!

Step Three – Get out in the sunshine. I find that walking, sitting or just moving about in nature (aka walking to the local café for that smoothie) changes my mood and gets me out and about. If you get to catch up with a friend or family member at least once a week, or maybe even once a fortnight while you are out and about this is even better for yourself love, and self-care. When we connect with others we stay in the present moment. Find the things we love and enjoy.

Step Four – Well I wouldn’t be spiritual if I did not add this one. Find at least 3 things EACH DAY that you are grateful for. It would be wonderful if you write them down, but let’s do baby steps, let’s be happy to find them, think about them, and say them to yourself within your mind or out loud. You will find yourself changing to be such a more positive person.

Self-care, and or self-love all starts by looking inward. It is a time that you will start to enjoy. You will nurture yourself in the physical, emotional and in your mental bodies. When you start to take care of these bodies, you will automatically be taking care of your spiritual body as well!

Please look at the four suggestions I have given you. The bedtime was the one that really worked wonders for me. Once I was getting a great night sleep I would bounce out of bed in the morning looking forward to my day. Then it would just flow on. I felt great, due to my sleep. I chose better food for breakfast, even find time for my exercise each morning! Then I started to find my work load sorted itself out. I worked out what was really important to me and asked for support from family and friends.

I have wonderful friends that get me out and about, back into nature and enjoying their company. This two is a wonderful way to find all that people, things, and situations you have in your life that you are grateful for. I am living proof that once you sit in the powerful frequency of happiness, love and gratitude that wonderful things come to you. Yep still get the occasional yuk day but you can take it in with ease and release it or work out the problem.

I am very important. As are you. We deserve self-care. We deserve self-love. We are deserving. Please say with me now. I AM DESERVING
