Mindset for 2023. Lets make this a great year
You may have read or know about Chinese New Year. This date is always after our New Years Eve. This year the Chinese New Year started on Sunday the 22nd of January. I feel it is an exciting energy. As it is the year of the rabbit and the rabbit is a water sign, it should be a peaceful but abundant one for us all.
Why do I like Chinese New Year? It is of course a wonderful time of year for a different culture to embrace their beliefs, but I have found that this is the perfect time to start my “New year resolutions” as I have most likely broken the diet, the exercise routine, the meditation routine, and my promise to self that I will get up at 4 am each day to enjoy the sunrise. How many of you set new year resolutions in January to only break them in the few short days or weeks after? I don’t know about you, but this makes me a bit sad and not the positive high vibration or energy that I want to set for this new and magical year
So I see the Chinese New Year as a sort for do over. I find that I am back in my “life” with family and work by this time and are more able to juggle and allow myself to be kind to me. To give self-care to me. It gives me time to set my “Mind set” to encourage all the good things I want to happen in my life with the magical high positive vibrations of a celebration in the air.
So what is mind set? It is how you think and see yourself. How you talk to yourself. I always like to think of my mind set as my personal coach in life. I mean who else knows me better than me, so I like to make the world a magical beautiful place by the way I see it. There is a quote by Henry Ford that I just love. “Whether you think you can, or you think your cant you are right.” So I want to be thinking – “Yes I have got this!”, to all my dreams and goals I am setting this year.
We all know how important your self-talk and your thoughts are. They really do shape your life. Once you can control or help your mind set to think in positive ways you will find changes in your personal and work life as well as in many relationships around you. You will start to attract in what you want and have more success.
So I can hear you, if it was that easy I would be a millionaire right now, or I would have found my soul mate. Well your mind set is something you have to work on. This is the best thing about having a do over for our resolutions. Now we can make the time to work with our mind set and move into February as a positive amazing soul that you are, now working towards attracting all that you want for this year
So I thought to put in some tips or ideas that help me keep my mind set on track.
Hints and Tips
Tip One – See it in your mind.
I love to visualise what I want in my life. I love to go to a quite place and see it so clearly you can nearly touch, taste, or smell it. You can feel it all the way through your soul – everything that you want to bring into your life this year. The love, the success the item! I might even break it down to a time line. By April I want to have……..By November I want to be…..
I love visualisation but I understand that this is hard work, so I also surround myself what photos, images, quotes reminders of all that I want to increase my thoughts, my mind set every time I open my phone to see the screen with my vision board on it. Every time I got to the fridge I see the photo of the item that I want in my life. Yes these are small things, but they help me keep my mind set on track.
You need to be able to focus and see clearly what you want, as we are human we may slip into a bit of negative talk. I am not worthy of that kind of relationship. My boss won’t give me a chance to change jobs…
When you feel your mind giving you negative self-talk you must stop and realign your thoughts. Yep this is the hard bit. It is easy to give ourselves the negative talk or ideas so we can just use this to move away from our dream. The mindset, will help you see solutions, or develop a plan of action to move you forward in getting all that you want in 2023.
Tip Two – Negative Self Talk is to be recognised and avoided at all costs.
Our minds can turn on us in a second if we are not aware of how we have set out mind set for each day. A negative word or thought by us, friends or family can turn the whole mind set upside down and make you think that it isn’t possible.
We have all been there. Started out the day badly and our mind set has continued the trend all day long. We have allowed our mind, or our mind set too much freedom and it has gone down into the negative pathways, as that is the easy option. Now you must be able A – recognise when you are heading into the negative space
B – find easy ways to shift your mindset back into the positive.
My go to is find something to be grateful about. It works every time as then you will find more and more things to be grateful for. You will begin to shift and feel positive once more. Some people use mantras, affirmations, music, movement, and or nature. These are great tools as well. Your first goal is to find what works for you to get you back into that positive mind set to move forward once again.
Tip 3 is a quote from Tony Robbins – “Motion creates emotion”
This is so true. So when you are in a funk, the best way to shift your mind set is to simply get up and move. Walk away. To into nature. If you want a new car or house in your life, take the time to go and test drive or walk through.
If you are feeling low at work, stand up, move around, walk outside. A change of area or environment will do amazing things to your mind set! You might even find yourself looking around you and being grateful for a few things.
Mind set it you. It is all you. You are the only real person that can change the way you think and look at the world around you. You are the only person who can dream, manifest and them move or take action to get there. No one else is responsible for you. It is you and your mind set. So get comfy with your mind set this year and be positive and up beat with each other. You will create great things together.
